The Time of Silence

A new word on the condition of the global church

Amanda Mott

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. -2 Timothy 4:3-5

I have not received a word from the Lord since last Fall. The Lord has still spoken to me personally. He has corrected me and encouraged me in my quiet times. At times I cried out and asked if I was in error but I did not receive a correction. I did not hear any prophetic words for others. I did not hear words for the church. I had one prophetic vision but I believe that was simply to encourage me while I waited.

It wasn’t until today 5/7/18. Seven months later, that I heard the Lord speak.
This is what I heard the Lord say:

This silence you have experienced...for seven months and ending on the seventh day of May was a sign by the Lord. This silence is the silence I have brought forth in my churches. The Word of the Lord no longer goes forth among my church. The hearts of men have been given over to wickedness and their false doctrine has lead them astray so my silence goes out before them. As Jesus refused to give a sign to the Pharisees and gave them only the sign of I say to my church. I say to my church...repent! My bride has gone out to prostitute herself with every false doctrine that has come along. Repent! Turn back to a love for the Word of God. Turn back from every doctrine that seeks to lift up sin. Turn back from every doctrine that seeks to lower the name of Jesus. Do not listen to the false prophets. False prophets who say, “I have a word of encouragement”. False prophets who prophesy blessing without repentance. Look! Look at what I did to Israel, my beloved child. Look! You are simply grafted in. Look! Repent! You have the Spirit and yet you have embraced your sin. Repent! You have made a friend of the world. Repent! You have given false grace and lifted up your own name. Repent! The time is short. Repent! I will not give a fresh word. I will not give a new revelation. I will not give new gifts when you despise what has already been given to you.
Start at repentance. Once you have repented. Once you love My Name once again. Once you love My Word. Then I will be Your God. Then I will move and speak. Then I will encourage. Repent from your false path. Then I will open the mouths of my prophets with sweet honey. Now the honey will only make you sick. Repent! Take up your cross by dying to yourself. No longer make an idol to your old nature. Be changed. Repent.

I have prayed over this word and believe it is for the churches who have walked away from preaching the Word of God. It is for those who follow after ideas and people instead of God. It is for anyone who makes a friend out of this world and celebrates what God calls sin. This word grieves my heart and has me very concerned about the global church. When God stops speaking, it is a bad place for us. I also pray and ask God to examine my own heart. Have I loved His Word? Have I let it do it’s full work?

I repent and turn from a love for this world and my own plans and ideas. I pray that you will join me in allowing God to examine your heart.
I do not give this out of anything but love and concern for my brothers and sisters in Christ. I gain NOTHING by writing this! Please, examine your hearts. Please, examine what you are following. Let us return to our first love, Jesus and His Word.
